When Shaker Heights Rapid Transit took over the St. Louis built arched window lightweight cars from Aurora, Elgin & Fox River, the roofs were modified, with the poles moved outside and some fewer vents. The retriever was also relocated, attached to a bar at the centre window
UNPAINTED HO scale Kit for motorization with a BOWSER drive, made of 3D printed PLA filament. The kit contains: The car body, roof, a floor with pilots, steps and underfloor parts mounted, two dummy trolley poles, headlights, retrievers, a trolleyboard. An emergency draw bar is attached underfloor. The roof is fixed with M1.6 micro-screws and remains removable for painting. The floor is also fixed with M 1.6 mm screws, which are part of the kit.
The kit contains also 4 truck frames, modeling the characteristic pressed steel Elliptical Integral Bolster (EIB) trucks. The truck frames plug into the Bowser trucks.
The car will be sold cleaned mechanically and chemically sanded, but unpainted. Small flaws inherent to every PLA print will be greatly smoothened when primed and painted.
The car can be delivered with the headlight drilled and mounted, or the headlight separate, not mounted, the holes not drilled
