US Shipping Rules
INTERURBAN MODELS
Shipping policies for residents in the US Mainland
(Version Nov 6, 2025)
French Postal service is resuming parcel service to the US, after having been halted at the end of August.
Shipments will be subject to the new rules with 15% Import duties to be paid in advance by the shipper (by me), plus some handling fees for the French Post. I would have preferred a world without this, but I'll do my best to keep it all as cheap as possible.
On this Internet shop https://interurban-models.myshopify.com/ , prices are now increased 15% for residents of the United States. This surcharge will be paid by me upon shipment at the French post office (and will end up in the US Treasury).
The postal service's processing fees seem reasonable, and I will absorb them myself.
Once an online order is paid, you will receive within 48 hours a receipt detailing the price paid, the US Import Taxes portion, the shipping cost, and the amount of fees that are paid by us.
Once the parts are made (it generally takes 5-7 working days), the item is shipped with a tracking number. You can follow the parcel on its way to your address.
In case the shipping is not accepted by US Customs, for any reason, it will be returned to me, and I will have to send it again at my expense, or I have to refund you.
In the end, there are only two outcomes: you pay and you will get your item, or if that is not possible for any reason, you will be refunded.
For technical reasons, I actually cannot ship small goods to the US as a "letter" as it was done before. Consequently, the minimum amount for a purchase is set to 33.50 EUR, same as the parcel rate. Making orders valued less than their shipping cost seems unreasonable.
Shipping policies may evolve in the future, as rules may change. I will always seek the best and least expensive way to deliver my models.
Best regards
